There is not much need for alternate forms of exercise, because most of the attractions are within walking distance from each other. Most also require quite a bit of walking within.

Ancient school of drawing, home to many 15th and 16th century works of art. But is known chiefly as the home of Michaelangelo’s David.
This is the bridge, from Roman times, that is so often photographed. It is most breathtaking from afar, but you can also cross it and experience the street vendors and shops within.
